GMKTEC G10 Review: an affordable Ryzen mini PC

Context and intent

This GMKTEC G10 was purchased new for 199.96 euro in 2025 and deployed as a production Proxmox hypervisor. The objective was to evaluate whether an inexpensive Ryzen based mini PC could provide sufficient performance for multiple infrastructure services while remaining compact, energy efficient, and affordable. Build quality and design

What the numbers actually say

The benchmark results clearly place the GMKTEC G10 in a completely different performance category than older entry level mini PCs. Single core performance is strong enough for responsive administration, web hosting, and infrastructure services, while the four core Ryzen processor provides sufficient parallel performance for multiple virtual machines running simultaneously. Storage performance is another highlight. The NVMe SSD delivers transfer speeds exceeding 3 GB per second, making virtual machine startup, software updates, and backups noticeably faster than SATA based systems. The Vega integrated graphics are not intended for gaming or for daily office use for a poweruser, but they provide more than enough capability for management tasks, hardware accelerated video playback, and general desktop usage if required.
