About Me

My name is Fred Stiens. I am an engineer by training, driven by a deep curiosity for how complex systems behave and interact. My background combines automation engineering, software development, software testing & verification, and IT infrastructure, with a consistent focus on reliability, testability, and long term maintainability.

For several years, I worked on large scale public infrastructure projects such as tunnels, bridges, and hydraulic installations. In those environments, software is not an experiment. It must work correctly, predictably, and safely under all conditions. That mindset still defines how I approach technology today.

Over time, my professional focus shifted from physical automation toward software intensive systems. I became increasingly involved in software verification, system testing, and infrastructure engineering, where logic, structure, and quality matter more than hardware constraints.

I work methodically, document thoroughly, and prefer solutions that are simple, transparent, and robust. I value systems that can be understood, audited, and maintained rather than black boxes that merely appear to work.

Codexcity reflects how I work: independent, technically grounded, and solution driven.
Whether it is validating software behavior, improving system reliability, or building infrastructure that supports remote work at scale, my goal is always the same: make complex systems dependable and understandable.
